Villa 2Olives House is nestled in the charming Dalmatian village of Sukošan, near the vibrant city of Zadar. Known as Zlatna Luka, this attractive small bay is located just seven kilometers southeast of the county's urban core. Renowned among sailors, Sukošan is home to Marina Dalmacija, Croatia's largest marina, making it a haven for sailing enthusiasts looking to explore the Adriatic's stunning coastline by boat.
Sukošan is often referred to as the "place of four churches," with treasures like the Church of Our Lady of Mercy, the Church of St. Cassian, the Church of All Saints, and the Church of St. Martin. Adding historical intrigue, the Upper Gate stands as a remnant of the protective wall constructed by Venetian authorities between 1468 and 1470. The crown jewel of Sukošan, however, is the ruins of the bishops’ summer residence, Palac, an iconic landmark that offers breathtaking views, especially at sunset, and serves as the village's symbol.
During your stay, enjoy Sukošan's beautiful beaches, savor delicious Dalmatian cuisine at local restaurants, and experience cultural events like the Summer Carnival, Fisherman’s Feast, Dalmatian Song Evening, Brudetijada and many others.
Just a short 7-kilometer journey from Sukošan lies Zadar, a regional center rich in cultural and historical heritage. Zadar is famous for ancient Roman and Venetian ruins, centuries-old churches, and charming medieval streets. This rich past complements the city’s vibrant present, making it an excellent base for exploring the wider area. From Zadar, you can embark on various day trips, whether it's to the stunning national parks like Kornati and Krka, picturesque nearby cities such as Šibenik, Trogir, Nin, and Split, or the idyllic islands of the Zadar archipelago.
